Keefe to take Carluccio’s global
26 March, 2012
Carluccio’s has appointed Mike Keefe as its international development director, paving the way for an acceleration in its expansion around the world.
Keefe transfers from the same job at Caffe Nero, in which he has stepped up the coffee brand’s international profile. His previous jobs have included the rollout of brands in the Middle East and the US in particular, growing through both franchise and equity-based strategies.
Keefe will have a brief to develop Carluccio’s international profile. The brand currently has five franchised branches in the Middle East—three in Dubai and one in Qatar and Kuwait—and one in Ireland.
Keefe will report to Carluccio’s CEO Simon Kossoff, who said: “We are extremely excited about having Mike on board to oversee the development and expansion of this much loved Italian establishment abroad. We are confident his knowledge and experience will be invaluable.”
