Sombreros off to charity at Benito’s Hat
3 March, 2013
Mexican chain Benito’s Hat will be raising money for brain tumour research throughout March with activities culminating in a ‘Wear a Hat’ event.
Benito’s Hat will be selling a fundraising ‘Sombrero Sling’ cocktail for £6 throughout March, with half of that money going direct to Brain Tumour Research. A ‘Mad Hatter’ photobooth will allow customers to have photos taken in a choice of daft hats in return for a contribution, while ‘Wear a Hat’ day on 28 March will reward anyone who visits its restaurants between 3pm and 5pm and donates at least £1 with a free braised pork burrito.
The activities will be run across the four Benito’s Hat London restaurants, in Covent Garden, Oxford Circus, Goodge Street and King’s Cross station. Founder Ben Fordham said: “We are extremely excited to be supporting the people at Brain Tumour Research. It is the fastest growing brain tumour charity in the UK and has already established its first Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence. By getting involved our customers will be helping us to generate vital funds to launch their next ‘Centre of Hope’ in 2013.”
