M&B creates 2,500 jobs
21 March, 2011
Mitchells & Butlers is looking for 2,500 new staff as it continues the expansion of its food-led brands, the Sun reports.
The staff will add to Mitchells & Butlers’ 35,000 employees in the UK, and will include 600 new management jobs at retail level. They will be spread around M&B’s key brands earmarked for growth, including Harvester, Browns, Toby Carvery, All Bar One and O’Neill’s, and come after the company announced plans for up to 200 new sites over the next few years.
James Marriot, recruitment policy manager at M&B, tells the Sun: “Given the current climate, we are delighted to be able to support the economy and jobs market through our exciting expansion plans. Each new pub will create job opportunities which will benefit candidates from entry-level bar and waiting jobs right through to management positions.”
