Subway gets fresh with new TV campaign

Subway has launched a new set of TV ads to promote its healthy options - with the accent on freshness. The ads are intended to push the nine Subway subs that contain less than 5g of fat.
The 10 and 30 second clips show energetic young people going about their daily lives, with the voiceover: “For some people, their chosen sport is life. Those that live fresh, eat fresh. At Subway there are nine tasty low-fat subs to enjoy.” The ads close with a clip of one of the nine healthy subs.
The ads have been created by the McCann agency and will run in the UK and Ireland over the next month. Manaz Akhtar, Subway’s head of marketing in the UK and Ireland, said: “Some people really do enjoy food on the go; for its tastiness, its convenience and its value. People who want to kickstart a healthier lifestyle can do so with our low fat range.”
