New openings for Brewers Fayre, Wagamama and Leon
26 July, 2010
Whitbread is to open three new Brewers Fayre restaurants - its first such openings in around five years. It joins chains including Leon, Wagamama and Franklin's Deli in expanding across the UK this week, while Cantina Laredo is the latest US chain to set up store in London
Whitbread's openings include two brand new builds, which will be launched in Dumbarton and Scarborough, and a third site to be converted from a Spirit pub. It marks a change in thinking on the pub-restaurant brand from Whitbread, which has trimmed its Brewers Fayre restaurants to about 130, down from a peak of 400.
