New speakers lined up for Peach Marketing Seminar roster

21 March, 2013 - Wellcome Conference Centre, London

Leon founder and school food campaigner John Vincent (pictured) is one of a number of leading opinion-influencers to join the roster of speakers at this year's Peach Marketing Seminar, to be held at the Wellcome Conference Centre in London on 21 March.

Also new to the seminar line-up are Jeremy Roberts, commercial director of award-winning Living Ventures, on brand-building with the company's two latest ventures - the New World Pub Co and the upmarket Manchester House restaurant - and Andrew Stothert of BrandVista on the five key lessons of brand stand-out.

The focus for the seminar will be on all things mobile, social and local - and John Vincent's theme of "Making food fun" will plug into that. The boss of the healthy fast food chain will talk about how the drive for healthy food and learning to cook can be leveraged by individual companies and the market as a whole.

The Peach Marketing Seminar will analyse the latest marketing trends and developments from both sides of the Atlantic – what’s new, what’s exciting, what’s working in the eating and drinking-out-of-home market.

US marketing expert Scott Shaw, a restaurateur as well as founder and CEO of Washington DC-based Fishbowl Marketing, will pick out the new thinking from the recession-hit US market – and highlight techniques that are now pulling consumers back into restaurants and bars.

Spectacular Marketing founder Mark McCulloch, who has worked at YO! Sushi, Pret a Manger and Lastminute.com, interprets the latest UK marketing fashions and the challenges they pose for the out-of-home market -  in particular the ‘hot’ areas of social, mobile and local focus.

Peach Factory founder Peter Martin, as well as chairing the session, will examine how the marketing function is maturing and the old tensions between marketing and operations are being overcome (or not).

Marketing on the frontline
: The afternoon will also include two real-life case studies from funky London bar chain Be At One and the now global bar and backpacking brand St Christopher’s on staying in touch with and relevant to the ever-demanding, fickle and experience-chasing Millennials market.

Both are growing, entrepreneurial operators that act fast and use low-budget but high-tech solutions to getting their message out there – Be At One’s ‘Adopt a Bartender’ in January being a case in point.
