San Carlo grows sales, revamps Manchester
18 July, 2012
The San Carlo restaurant group says it has grown sales by more than a third in its most recent financial year.
The Birmingham-based group, which runs ten restaurants in the UK, said turnover had increased 36.8%, from £19.8m in 2010 to £27.1m in 2011. It has also announced plans to invest around £700,00 in a refurb of its flagship site on King Street West in Manchester, creating a new private dining room and setting aside the lower ground floor for a patisserie and ice cream sales. It will add about 40 covers to the restaurant, which will close for three weeks in August to facilitate the revamp.
San Carlo recently revealed plans to take its Cicchetti concept to London, at the Crown Estate’s St James’ Gateway development.
