Expanding casual dining brands are increasingly competing with pubs for out-of-home consumer spending, latest figures from the Coffer Peach Business Tracker show. In July collective like-for-like sales for the managed pub and restaurant market grew 1.1%, with the highest growth coming from restaurant groups.

Casual dining gets best of June sales growth

The growing popularity of branded restaurants was a big factor in boosting eating-out sales in June, latest data from the Coffer Peach Business Tracker show. Managed pub and restaurant groups collectively saw like-for-likes sales grow 1.7% against June last year – with restaurant chains’ like-for-likes up more than twice that at 3.6%.
