M&B reports 2.7% like-for-like sales growth

Mitchells & Butlers, the UK's biggest pub and restaurant operator, saw revenues grow 6.3% in the 28 weeks to 7 April - with like-for-like sales ahead 2.7%.

Poor weather hit sales across the eating and drinking-out market in April, according to latest Coffer Peach Business Tracker data – with pub and restaurant groups seeing collective like-for-like sales down 2% for the month.
Restaurant Group sees bright start to 2012

The Restaurant Group, operator of Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito's and Garfunkels, has reported strong trading for the first 19 weeks of the year with total sales 8% ahead of the previous year and like-for-like sales 4% ahead. It also announcedit would be rolling-out of its new Coast to Coast concept.
Marston's sees 15% profit growth

Marston's, the pub operator and brewer, saw underlying pre-tax profits grow 15% in the 26 weeks to 31 March, with total sales up 7.6% to £342.1m. Like-for-like sales in its managed pubs were ahead 3.6%.
