Restaurant Group to speed up brand roll-outs

The Restaurant Group is accelerating its brand roll-out plans. It opened 40 new sites last year and plans for up to 50 new openings in 2015. The news came as it reported a strong start to this year with like-for-like sales up 2.5% for the eight weeks to 22 February.

Snow and cold fail to depress public’s eating-out appetite

Restaurant and managed pub groups saw collective like-for-like sales edge up 1.4% in January, despite the impact of the snow and cold weather that gripped much of Britain. Latest figures from the Coffer Peach Business Tracker showed that the public continued to go out - and especially to eat at branded restaurant chains.
