Easter delivers 5% uplift in like-for-like sales

The Easter break brought a boost for Britain’s managed pub and restaurant groups with collective like-for-like sales up 5.1% on 2014’s four-day holiday weekend, according to latest Coffer Peach Business Tracker figures. However, the strong Easter performance followed a weaker March, when trading was marginally down on last year.

Transformed Tragus changes name and plans 70 new sites

Tragus Group, owner of the Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge brands, is to be renamed the Casual Dining Group as it returns to the expansion trail with plans to open 70 new restaurants over the next three years and refurbish 160 existing sites.
