Carluccio's agrees £90m takeover by Dubai retail group

Carluccios shares climbed 44% after the Italian restaurant group announced an agreed £90.3m takeover bid from Landmark group, a Dubai-based retail business.

Average like-for-like sales across leading restaurant and pub groups were up +1.9% in July. This follows 1.4% lfl growth in June. The figures come from the Coffer Peach Business Tracker. Total sales, which include those from new openings, were ahead +3.3% on July 2009.
